Description of specimen
Beetle has a black body with green shimmer to it with an elongated body.
Commentary
Thank you for your report! That appears to be a "Bark-gnawing beetle", Temnoscheila chlorodia. They live under bark of felled conifers, and feed on other insects.

Location
The beetle was found in the shaving of some fallen trees at my residence. We fell a pine, cedar, and an ash tree after a large oak fell next to the house.
