Description of specimen
Just a single bug. I could not catch barehanded.
Commentary
I spoke to Troy today and he sent me a picture of the beetle he observed. It appears to be a green bark beetle - Temnoscheila chlorodia. Thank you for being vigilant Troy

Location
There is an area between the Hwy 30 and the Railroad tracks, and just south of I-84, on the west bank where I was fishing and picking BlackBerries yesterday. When I noticed what I think is an Emerald Ash Borer amongst the vines. I took pictures of it and can forward them if it would be helpful, but they are still on my phone. I had just seen this bug on OPB's broadcast over the weekend, and made note of it. Being a native Oregonian myself, I'm concerned for the health of our state.
