Drought on Jul 2, 2025

Originally reported as Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis)

Submitter does not have a specimen

Description of specimen

All the ash trees along the drainage and in the pastures have very distinctive dead tops, cracking bark and heavy sprouting from lower stems. I wasn’t able to identify any exit holes.

Commentary

Thank you for submitting this report. ODF staff visited the site to conduct surveys for EAB. The trees appear to be declining from a combination of drought stress and bark boring beetles. No evidence of EAB was uncovered.
