Description of specimen

About an inch long, mottled black and brown with striped antennae.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! This is one of our native pine sawyers (Monochamus species), and they are the most convincing native lookalikes for ALB. Our native species are not tree killers. Thanks for being on the lookout!
