Submitter does not have a specimen

Description of specimen

I've been telling the city of Dallas for over 2 years that there's a tree problem in Dallas. ALL the Bitch trees and Ash are dying. I saw on Fox12 that it might be this green Ash beetle since it's in Maroon and Yamhill counties, which border Polk. Is there someone that could come to my house? You will see the Birch on my street are all dead/dying, and I can show you my Mt. Ash which is dying too.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! EAB doesn't attack birch trees, but another invasive borer, the Bronze birch borer, does. This borer is well-established in the valley. Mountain ash is not a true ash tree and isn't a host for EAB, but many trees in the valley have been stressed by drought and heat.
