Description of specimen

Black and white looking beetle with long antenna looking things that were black and white striped. I looked up a picture of that description and it showed me an Asian Longhorn beetle, and it looked exactly the same.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! This is not ALB. This is our native Banded alder borer (Rosalia funebris). They are not tree killers. They breed in dead branches of red alder and some other forest trees.
