Description of specimen
Found tree of heaven (identified through known characteristics and confirmed with plant identification app). Juvenile tree ~2.5-3' tall with a smaller sapling adjacent (both can be seen in photo). Located right along front of property next to the sidewalk.
This is indeed Tree of Heaven. Thank you for posting as this will help us gain an understanding of the extent of this species in our county. We are now surveying for this plant due to the Spotted Lanternfly (who's host plant is tree of heaven) being recently spotted for the first time in Portland. If you have access to the property this plant is growing on I would recommend digging it up, cutting it and treating the cut with a 50% Triclopyr product, or renting one of our weed wrenches for free and pulling it out.
