Description of specimen

Group of five European Starlings (as witnessed at this time). Two, of which, are nesting in the support beams under the house's roof (East/Southeast side).
Positively identified through research (whatbird.com, ibirdexplorer.com, audubonportland.org).

Hi Betty, thank you for your report! Unfortunately, European starlings are well established, not only in the Portland metropolitan area, but in Oregon and throughout the United States. They aggressively compete with our native birds. Disrupting the nest that is under the support beams of house, and erecting wire fencing in that location will prevent the birds from nesting there in the future. Thank you again for your report and for keeping your eyes open for new invasive invaders in our state.
