It looked pretty much exactly like the one pictured on the Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_ash_borer

Thank you for your report! There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODF EAB webpage with some photos of other Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB

Location

My roommate brought in the "pretty" little beast from our garden, and I about had a heart attack. I'm an urban planner in Woodburn- so we've been learning about the Ash Borer. I didn't take a picture before I killed it, but I'm pretty confident that's what it was. I'll be on the lookout for more and will take a picture next time.
