Roughly 1/2 inch bug with jewel green wings.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODF EAB webpage with some photos of other Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB

Location

My wife and I were returning to our home in McMinnville from a trip to Portland. I opened my wallet, I believe at the Tigard Costco, and the 1/2 big with bright green wings was inside my wallet. Had not read it was invasive and blew it off my wallet—sorry!
