Description of specimen

My dad was fishing in the lake and he caught 2 bluegill within 15 minutes he caught 2 of them. We have them in our freezer for Fish and Game. After posting on the Fiahhawk Friend page after this unusual catch, another resident stated “Have caught around 8 for the first time this month.”. We have lived there for 19 years and never encountered this fish.
