Description of specimen

The bark is coming off of the tree in front of our house in the same manner that the Emerald Ash Borer seems to make.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! Can you please attach a photo of the damage? Emerald ash borer makes D-shaped holes about 1/8" wide. S-shaped galleries may be visible if the bark is splitting. Here is the address of Oregon Department of Forestry's EAB website
