Originally reported as Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis)

Submitter does not have a specimen

Description of specimen

Single EAB about 2.5 in long came out of the bottom of a new sofa. It was attracted to the bass from a subwoofer. House is sealed well from other pests and rarely used so high level of certainty beetle came from the sofa. Found six months ago. This is in Kingman, AZ, but I report it because imported furniture has not been discussed as a source.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! EAB is only ~1/2 inch long. There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODF EAB webpage with some photos of other Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB
