Description of specimen

Patches of knotweed on both banks of the Wilson River near at the Jones Creek Campground in the Tillamook State Forest. This is about the furthest upstream I recently found Knotweed while recreating along the Wilson. It is pretty continuous on both banks of the Wilson beginning a few miles downstream of this patch all of which is visible from the highway.

Commentary

Thank you Josh for the Knotweed report! Great observation. Knotweed has become widespread throughout Tillamook County and there has been much effort from both our SWCD over the years, along with landowner's help to push it back. Check out our website for best management practices of how to effectively remove Knotweed to join the effort: https://tillamookcountyswcd.org/

Thank you,
Michael Blankenship, TCSWCD
