Bright green wings and a magenta body (we should have studied it more closely after capturing it, and regret this lapse!)

Commentary

Thank you for your report! There are a number of iridescent green look-alike beetles in Oregon that are not pests. I am attaching a link to the ODF EAB webpage with some photos of other Oregon insects that could be mistaken for EAB

Location

Suspected EAB inside our house, on southern-facing windows, in August before news of its arrival was widespread. My husband, thinking it was likely invasive, killed it before we were able to take a photo and confirm identification.
