Hi Carol,
I apologize for the late reply, but I wanted to let you know that I forward your report to Tanya Beard, Environmental Specialist-Botanist Marion County Department of Public Works. She let me know that the City of Salem is responsible and will for contacting them to inform them of your report. I'll update you if I hear any more regarding possible plans by the city to control the tansy before the fall, and thus prevent additional spread into neighboring properties. Your report is much valued as is shows that citizens are concerned about the impacts of invasive species, and it encourages officials to respond! Please keep up the great work - and keep on reporting!
Thanks, Tania

I have a house at 4902 Oak Park Dr. NE, Salem. Immediately behind my house is a waterway that is part of the Little Pudding system. There are many tansey ragwort plants there and they become very tall in the summer. These are spreading over into my back and front yards, and I am sure the neighbors are also having problems. Typically the county? cuts down the high grass in this area in the fall - but it is a problem NOW.
Thank you for any help you can give. Carol Petersen
