Description of specimen

I have a dead, dried up emerald ash borer, split in half while.moving it have both pieces.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! That is not EAB; that is a native wood borer Buprestis viridisuturalis. They are much larger and less slender than EAB, in addition to having the yellow markings that EAB doesn't have. They're not tree killers.

Location

In my office at Kliever Armory, 10,000 NE 33rd, Portland 97218 I saw a green bug dead on the floor, upon inspection it appeared to be an Emerald Ash Borer. It died here between 28 SEP and 2 OCT
