Description of specimen

we have pinholes and all our trees on our property and right around in our neighborhood. We had a certified arborist come out and start to treat our tree trees. We have pinhole at all our trees. He identified them as a flathead boar beetle.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! Flatheaded fir borer can kill stressed Douglas-fir. The primary cause of the stress on the trees is drought. I'm attaching a fact sheet that may help with management of your trees:

Flatheaded fir borer is a native insect. There are no subsidized management programs for its control.

Location

5 Miles south of the town of Molalla. we have had an arborist come out identified that we have a flathead board beetle attacking all our fur trees in our yard and around our area in our neighborhood.
We are in the neighborhood of Rosewood Way.
Hoping that we can get some information how to get these other trees treated in our neighborhood from the county please email or call us when you have a moment thank you
