Bright green cricket with long legs
Commentary
Thank you for your report! I think that your identification is correct, but I can't quite see the fine dark speckles on the top and sides, or the width of the forewings, that help to distinguish the Mediterranean katydid from the native Fork-tailed bush katydid. Either way, though, Mediterranean katydid seems to be well-established in the Willamette Valley now. There haven't been any reports of it causing damage. You can set it free.

The cricket jumped across the sidewalk onto a fence right in front of me as I walked by a house in my neighborhood.
