It was a single plant. the leaves were glossy with spikes around it. The leaves were not flat and were bent on each spike. They were alternating leaves.
Thanks so much for your great work finding, removing, and reporting English holly at the Simpson trail. Your efforts are helping prevent further spread of invasive species, and helping to maintain the diversity of native plant and animals that are important to riparian ecosystem.
Please keep up the great work and keep on reporting invasive species!
