Thank you for your report of Yellow Archangel. We have been noticing a significant amount of Yellow archangel naturalizing throughout Clackamas County. Unfortunately this species is not currently not currently listed as a noxious weed within the State of Oregon. As such we rely upon the local landowners to control this species when it occurs on their property. That said, we value your report. We are annually reviewing the state noxious weed list of species, and have worked with the Four County Cooperative Weed Management Area to nominate Yellow archangel to the noxious weed list. This species is currently under consideration by the Oregon Dept of Agriculture, for potential listing. As such your report helps state policy make informed decisions about designating noxious weeds. So thank you for your efforts and all the best,
Sam

Location
21769 E. Cascade Street, Rhododendron Our cabin property on Clear Creek. The plant is located in several areas including one spot on the bank of Clear Creek. Likely was planted as an ornamental by the previous owners. Flooding in February this year may have allowed it to spread downstream.
