Big patch of Japanese knotweed growing on the north side of Columbia blvd.

Thanks for reporting knotweed. I will forward your report to the Oregon Department of Agriculture Noxious Weeds Program and the East Multnomah SWCD www.emswcd.org so they can be aware of this particular infestation and incorporate it into their weed control planning. Unfortunately there are often more weed than there is time or funding so this particular patch may not be controlled as soon as we would like. Please keep reporting knotweed though – the more we know about it current infestation the better we can strategize an effective response.

Remedy
Oregon State University's Solve Pest Problems page has some great information about how to get rid of knotweeds Solve Pest Problems
This is a tricky weed to manage. Consider reaching out to your local Soil & Water Conservation District for technical advice.
Location
On north side of Columbia Blvd. west of I-5, and just west of the train overpass.
