Commentary

Baisley,

I would like to thank you for reporting the Tansy Ragwort infestations. This species is widespread across Clackamas County, and is currently being targeted using biological control. These biological controls help to slow and prevent the continued spread of these species, but will not completely eradicate the target species. As such additional management is required to eradicate these species in areas where grazing livestock may be affected. The control of Tansy Ragwort is ultimately the responsibility of each individual landowner to control that species. Please take the time to educate your neighbors and have them contact the Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District, if they need additional help in combating these invaders.

Below you will find a couple of resources you may find useful.

If you have additional questions please feel free to contact me directly. Thanks again for the report.

Sincerely,

Sam
