Description of specimen

I wrote under the map above a bit about their distribution at this County Park. I saw at least 3 patches that day, and some were not so big to take out if we pounce now.
Description of my find? "Big ol' knotweed bushes in full bloom!"
I worked on Japanese and hybrid knotweed species along the lower Columbia River. I know what knotweed looks like.

Commentary

Dear Betsy,

I want to thank you so much for taking the time to report Japanese knotweed. It sounds like you are familiar with this plant and therefor understand the damage it can cause. I have forwarded your report to the City of Eugene, the County, and to Oregon Department of Transportation. They may not be able to prioritize controlling knotweed at these particular sites. However, your report is still extremely valuable as invasive species managers work to identify the most strategic sites to focus their efforts. Thanks again and please do keep on reporting invasive species!

Sincerely,

Tania
