a larvae identified by the brochure given by the trap inspector.

Commentary

Hi, Thank you for your submission to the Hotline. Gypsy moth larvae are active and present for about four weeks in late spring. There is one generation, or life cycle, per year. So, this time of year, we would expect to see adults and not larvae. It is likely that you have encountered a different species. To be sure, please upload a photo or send in a specimen.
