Description of specimen

Bright green, metallic jewel like color on a narrow winged beetle.
Emerald Green Ash Borer? Slightly smashed

Commentary

Hi Denise, good eye. Yes, you are correct. This isn't emerald ash borer, but it is a beetle in the same taxonomic family. It is the golden buprestid, a native species in Oregon. It is not considered a pest.
