Shimmery/pearly green beetle-like bug

Commentary

This is not emerald ash borer. Appears to be Trachykele blondeli, Western cedar borer. Native insect.

Location

Suburban neighborhood with few trees. I found it on my car.

I gave it to my son. He held it while we traveled from Hillsboro to Sauvie Island.

WE RELEASED IT ON SAUVIE ISLAND near the grocery store at the base of the bridge.
