Description of specimen

I didn't realize what kind of insect it was (until Clear Water arrived in the next day's mail and I saw the resemblance). I've checked my fig tree daily for that same insect and haven't seen it return. It was pretty distinct with its straight tail, about 3/4" long, dark gray. I flicked it off the branch; it didn't fly.
