Description of specimen

A dead street tree, Fraxinus, with epicormic shoots, cracked bark and insect galleries. Did not find d-shaped exit holes. Erring on the side of caution in submitting this report. From Google street view, the tree appears to have been in decline since 2018.

Commentary

Experts from ODF visited the site and confirmed that this IS NOT EAB. This tree was killed by some other causal agent, whether Verticilium wilt or perhaps abiotic stress. The insect damage is from other insects other than EAB. Thanks for your report.
