Description of specimen

I did not find any larvae or insects, just d shaped holes. There were dead branches on this tree, which further supported my educated guess about the holes.

I visited this site yesterday and found no evidence of EAB. The tree circled in the picture is not ash. There were 3 exotic narrow-leaf or Raywood ash on Western St. I inspected them and found no exit holes or other EAB signs. There were a couple of wild Oregon ash on the east side of the bike path, next to the Willamette River. They looked healthy.
