Description of specimen

Possible Emerald Ash Borer affecting 2 trees. First had peeling bark with possible D shaped hole, second appears to be dying from the top with excessive branching toward the base.

Commentary

Thanks for your report. Yesterday, ODF inspected the trees in this report, as well as others nearby. There were signs of tree canopy decline and dieback. However, these were all due to other factors, not EAB. One tree had significant heart rot and other had been girdled at its base by beaver or nutria. No EAB exit holes or galleries under the bark on the main stem.
