Description of specimen

Dead tree with little D-shaped holes (and also some larger woodpecker holes) and S-shaped galleries under where the bark peeled off

Commentary

ODF visited this site today and found the tree. It is a cottonwood which is not a host of EAB. I did check surrounding ash and found no signs and symptoms of EAB. There was a moderate amount of beaver damage however, in this protected park
