Commentary

Avatar of commenter Thank you for your report and for being on the lookout. We are monitoring several sites in Portland and the Willamette Valley. Unfortunately without a picture of the insect or the unique damage it creates in the tree, we cannot confirm this report as EAB. If you have pictures of EAB, you can upload them here. Visit OregonEAB.com to see examples and learn more about EAB and the damage it causes. Thank you!

Location

No specific evidence of the emerald ash borer, but we have an Oregon Ash tree next to our building, and we had many crows in the tree, aggressively pecking. We did a quick internet search and learned the crows might be pecking at larvae.
