Description of specimen

The arborist cannot find any bore holes, but the dead wood and leaf loss appear to be classic signs to him.

Avatar of commenter Hi Caroline - there are many causes of leaf loss and dead wood in ash. Without photos, it can be hard to make a determination. Do you have any photos of the tree in question?
